WorldStrides soccer groups are taking on the UK!

We’ve had an amazing year thus far for our Australian soccer groups travelling to the UK. Since January 2024, young athletes from three Australian schools and academies have embarked on unforgettable journeys forging lifelong friendships, embracing new cultures, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Take a journey below and relive the moments, celebrate the triumphs, and explore the camaraderie of these young soccer enthusiasts from Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association, Padua College Kedron and North Queensland Football of Excellence.

Padua College Kedron

Padua College in Kedron Queensland, kicked off their 17-day soccer trip in late March. Visiting the UK, Holland, France and the Netherlands, the 33 young athletes and 5 teachers from Padua College enjoyed the adventure of a lifetime. Their epic soccer journey took them to Millwall (The Den), Vicarage Rd (Watford FC), Spurs Stadium (Tottenham FC), Stamford Bridge (Chelsea FC), The Valley (Charlton FC), Sheffield FC, Anfield Stadium (Liverpool FC), Tranmere Rovers Training Ground (Tranmere FC), Manchester United Museum & Stadium tour, Philips Stadion PSV Eindhoven, Ajax FC Stadium Tour and KNVB Sports Centre Dutch National Football Centre.


Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association

On January 6th 2024, Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association (CCJSA) ventured from Perth for a once in a lifetime soccer adventure. For 14 days, 19 players and 10 adults journeyed around the UK visiting some of the most iconic stadiums and tourist attractions, and were lucky enough to catch a few Premier League matches along the way. Their journey took them to Chelsea FC (Stamford Bridge), Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium, Wembley Stadium, National Football Stadium in Manchester, Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, Stockport County, Old Trafford in Manchester and Celtic Park (Celtic FC).


North Queensland Football of Excellence

North Queensland Football of Excellence (NQFOE) set off on their 9-day UK adventure at the beginning of 2024. With 20 players and 13 adults, NQFOE’s tour highlights included Crystal Palace, Selhurst Park, Wembley Stadium, Tyrone Mings Academy Bristol, Millwall FC (The Den), Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium, Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, National Football Museum in Manchester, Old Trafford and the Manchester United Museum.
