The Australian snow resorts overcame the worst two years on record with a phenomenal 2022 season. Pent-up demand after many lockdowns and travel restrictions saw excited visitors rushing to the resorts for their long-awaited adventures.
Perisher, Buller, Falls Creek and Hotham all opened their doors a week early after a storm left an early season cover, resulting in the best official opening weekend in years, with multiple lifts open at all resorts.
We were delighted to take 80 school groups to the snow this season, that’s 4,500 happy travellers who immersed themselves in snow lessons, developed their newfound skills and created memories to last a lifetime with their friends.
We saw a record number of groups travelling with us in September (off-peak). Students enjoyed Spring conditions with lots of sunshine, a few days of rain and a snowstorm mid-month which resulted in 45-60cms of snowfall.
Here are some highlights from the season that was…
“WorldStrides planned and provided a great trip. The staff were helpful and worked hard to meet our requests. Pricing was competitive and we will certainly be contacting WorldStrides for our next snow trip.” Teacher, Beerwah SHS, Falls Creek tour
“WorldStrides is a great company, they organise great school programs to Mt Buller at an affordable cost for our students. They are well organised and easy to work with. The tour they created for our school was perfect and all the students and staff had a great trip!” – Teacher, Mooroolbark College, Buller tour
If you’re thinking about a snowsports tour for next year, consider booking off-peak in June or September to save on the price of your tour, beat the crowds, but still take advantage of great conditions.
