Your Adventure, Day by Day

Day 1 Australia - USA
  • On your way Meet at the airport and board your flight to Boston
  • Welcome to Boston Upon your arrival, transfer to your hotel for check in before visiting Boston University, famous for awarding the first PhD to a woman in America as well as being the university where Martin Luther King Junior obtained his doctorate. See the statue in his commemoration
Day 2 Boston
  • Freedom Trail Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Freedom Trail which takes in historical sites that were significant in the American War of Independence. Discover the rich history of the American Revolution, as it began in Boston, where every step tells a story
  • Boston Tea Party Afterwards, visit the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, a floating history museum with live re-enactments, multimedia exhibits and a tearoom
Day 3 Boston - Salem - Boston
  • Salem Take a train to Salem for a historical guided walking tour led by a Salem native and modern Witch. The museum presents a dramatic look at one of the most important and tragic events in American history- the Witch Trials of 1692
Day 4 Boston - New York
  • On the move Board a private coach to New York. On arrival in New York, check-in at the hotel
  • Explore Visit the American Museum of Natural History, featured in the movie Night at the Museum and Central Park, the most visited urban park in US, located in middle-upper Manhattan. Larger than the principality of Monaco, Central Park has featured in over 240 films, making it the most filmed park in the world
  • NYC sights Afterwards, visit the Observatory at the Rockefeller Building, from where breathtaking panoramic views of New York can be enjoyed from Top of the Rock Deck. Finish the day visiting Times Square area, known as “The Crossroads of the World” and hub of the Broadway Theatre District
Day 5 New York
  • Memorial Pay your respects to the victims of the 9/11 attacks at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Take a moment of silence at the twin reflecting pools, where the names of every person who died in the attacks are inscribed. Examine the history and impact of the events and learn stories of loss and recovery
  • Afternoon activities Examine the history and impact of the events and learn stories of loss and recovery. Head to Wall Street and immerse in a world of finance, before taking the State Cruise Ferry to Ellis and Liberty Islands
Day 6 New York - Gettysburg
  • On the move Board a private coach to Gettysburg and stop en route at Lancaster, for an Amish Village Tour and learn about the traditional agricultural lifestyle of the Amish and the Mennonites, who live much the same as they did when they first settled here 200 years ago
Day 7 Gettysburg
  • Welcome to Gettysburg Enjoy a full day guided tour by coach of Gettysburg and visit the Battlefields, Museum Complex and National Military Park
Day 8 Gettysburg - Washington D.C.
  • Battlefields Board a private coach to Washington D.C., via Antietam, for a guided tour of the Antietam Battlefields Visitor Centre
  • Guided tour On arrival in Washington D.C., take the Lincoln assassination walking tour including Ford’s Theatre
  • Explore D.C. In the afternoon, visit Arlington National Cemetery, the National Archives, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, Washington Monument, Capital Building and view the Whitehouse from Lafayette Square
Day 9 Washington D.C.
  • Battlefields Meet the coach for an excursion to Manassas for a guided tour of the National Battlefields 1&2. Return to Washington in the evening
Day 10 Washington D.C. - Richmond
  • On the move Board a private coach to Richmond
Day 11 Richmond
  • Battlefields Today enjoy a guided walking tour of the Civil War sites and Museums, including: Chimborazo Hospital, Historic Tredegar visitor centre and battlefield
Day 12 Richmond – Los Angeles
  • Farewell Transfer by coach to the airport, for the flight to Los Angeles where you will catch your connecting flight home
Day 13 Travel
  • Remember, you lose a day in travel as you cross the International Date Line!
Day 14 Australia
  • Welcome home
