QLD Performing Arts Tour

On this performing arts tour of the Gold Coast students will perform across a variety of stages from public venues to local schools. They’ll learn about improvisation techniques and acting methods during the Lights, Camera, Action workshop at Movie World before enjoying a behind the scenes tour of the Australian Outback Spectacular show. With visits to Sea World and the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, students will also get up close and personal with Australia’s iconic animal friends.

Day 1 Gold Coast
  • Breakfast
  • Skypoint Observation Desk 77 Floors high and 230 metres off the ground at the top of the Q1 Resort on the Gold Coast lays the Skypoint Observation Deck offering breathtaking 360 degree views of the Surfer’s Paradise and surrounding areas. Sit back, relax, and take in the views stretching from the Gold Coast beaches to the hinterland and beyond

  • Movie World Join a world of fun at Australia’s Movie World on the Gold Coast. Experience first-class rides, action-packed shows, motion simulators, roller coasters and slow river rides. There are a number of active film studios within the complex
  • Lights, Camera, Action! Together students discover film, television and theatre make-up secrets and characterisation techniques. Practice professional acting methods including improvisations and learn how the world of entertainment can open the door to many exciting career opportunities. Students will also discover how they can benefit through social interaction and confidence building activities using Theatre Sports
  • Dinner Return to your accommodation for dinner
Day 2 Gold Coast
  • Breakfast
  • Performance 1 After breakfast travel to a local school for a performance/workshop opportunity. Enjoy morning tea afterwards
  • Lunch
  • Performance 2 Travel onto your next host school for a performance/workshop opportunity
  • Dinner Return to your accommodation for dinner
Day 3 Gold Coast
  • Breakfast
  • Performance 3 After breakfast travel to a local school for a performance/workshop opportunity. Enjoy morning tea afterwards
  • Lunch
  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Experience the dingo encounter, free flight bird show, crocodile feeding of the parks massive saltwater crocodile. The park also contains a serious aspect of its work and exhibits with it’s behind the scenes state of the art veterinary and rehabilitation hospital where thousands of sick and injured animals are brought every day
  • Dinner Return to your accommodation for dinner
Day 4 Gold Coast - Brisbane - Gold Coast
  • Breakfast After breakfast, board you coach and travel North to Brisbane
  • City sights Enjoy a city sights tour of Queensland’s vibrant Capital City and see the best that Brisbane has to offer. Learn about Brisbane’s city-centre architectural highlights on your coach tour of the city center, Queen Street Mall and get a bird’s eye view from atop the Wheel of Brisbane and visit the Mt Coo-tha Lookout with views of the Great Dividing Range and Moreton Bay

  • University of Queensland Travel to the University of Queensland for your guided Campus tour. Tours are tailor made to meet your group’s specific needs and requirements
  • Dinner Return to your accommodation on the Gold Coast for dinner
Day 5 Gold Coast

  • Performance 4 After breakfast board your coach and travel to Cavill Avenue and set up for your performance in the dedicated performance area located outdoors
  • Sea World Sea World is the premier marine animal park in Australia, offering amazing attractions and rides for all ages. Make a new Animal friend at Sea World. Enjoy the rides – from adrenaline pumping coasters to awesome kid’s rides in Beach Break Bay

  • Afternoon leisure The afternoon is free for teacher-supervised activities and leisure
  • Dinner
Day 6 Gold Coast
  • Breakfast After breakfast board your coach for Wet’n’Wild
  • Wet'n'Wild Splash into another world with some of the biggest and most extreme water slides in Australia. Wet’n’Wild is home to some truly heart pumping thrills with the world’s tallest double SkyCoaster and the best beach ever with white sandy shores and no rips or sharks. With over 40 slides and attractions, it’s so much more than a water park!

  • Australian Outback Spectacular Behind the Scenes Join in on this captivating journey to the snow peaked mountains of the high country during your visit to the Australian Outback Spectacular. Arrive early for your behind the scenes tour of Australia’s number one world class live theatrical production of High Country Legends. Gain an insight into the operation of the show including preparation kitchens where the 1,000 evening meals are prepared for each performance. Meet some of the cast and crew as they prepare for the show during final rehearsal
  • The Show Sit back and enjoy the show which includes dinner and entertainment
