1 Travel to Cairns
  • Cairns Aquarium visit Discover the natural wonders of The Great Barrier Reef, The Wet Tropics, The Gulf Savannah and Cape York regions as you explore the only aquarium in the world dedicated exclusively to the habitats and species of tropical North Queensland.
2 Cairns
  • Daintree Discovery Centre guided visit Discover the biology, ecology and antiquity of the forest environment. Experience the 23-metre high Daintree Rainforest Canopy Tower, the 10m high aerial walkway and over 900m of elevated rainforest boardwalks.
  • Daintree Organic Orchard visit Learn how ice cream is made on site using organically grown and farmed exotic fruit, from trees that are naturally irrigated by mother nature. See the sustainable practices that are implemented at every stage of ice cream production, as the preservation of the pristine rainforest ecosystem and it's inhabitants is top priority at this orchard. Enjoy a scoop (or two!) of delicious ice cream as you marvel at the important work being done here.
  • Crocodile Park guided visit Set off on an adventure led by an experienced wildlife keeper. Witness large crocodiles being fed, meet gorgeous koalas, and get up close to feed wallabies, kangaroos and quolls. Meet an array of lizard and snake species - and marvel at the Komodo Dragon in the Gallery of Living Art.
3 Cairns
  • Fitzroy Island full-day excursion Turtle Rehabilitation Centre visit, Curriculum activities, Glass Bottom Boat tour, Lunch, Snorkel tour.

    Board a catamaran and begin a full day excursion to Fitzroy Island where the rainforest meets the reef. Guided by Marine Biologists and Indigenous Culture Coordinators, enjoy up to 6 hours of immersive experiences from a glass bottom boat and a guided snorkelling tour to an indigenous cultural walk. Students are also introduced to turtle rehabilitation and the incredible work being done on the island to rehabilitate the sick and injured turtles that call the Great Barrier Reef home.

4 Cairns
  • Great Barrier Reef full-day excursion No trip to Cairns is complete without a visit to the outer Great Barrier Reef - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and easily one of the world's top natural wonders. Transfer from Cairns towards Moore Reef where the underwater universe awaits. Upon arrival at the reef, take part in a guided snorkel safari and participate in the Eye on the Reef program with a marine biologist to monitor the health of the reef. See firsthand the incredible array of life and colors that exist just below the surface with a semi-submersible coral reef viewing tour.
  • Cairns night market Each night when the sun sets, Cairns Night Market comes alive. Featuring over 70 retail outlets and home to a myriad of food options, settle in for the evening, hunt for a bargain and grab a yummy bite to eat! Perhaps try some local Tropical North Queensland delights like a sugar cane juice and a tropical dessert from the Mango Bar.

    Journey through the rainforest and be enlightened by your Indigenous Pamagirri guide as they share the Dreamtime story and how ancient traditions are kept alive in the oldest surviving rainforest in the world. Experience the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dance Performance, a traditional dance depicting aspects of Indigenous culture including animals, food gathering and hunting.

    BBQ lunch

    Enjoy a delicious lunch inspired by bush tucker flavours including tender steaks, BBQ chicken, sweet potatoes with paperbark cooked in traditional Kup-Murri style and vegetarian stir-fries. A selection of house salads, sandwiches, tropical fruits, cheeses and snacks are also available..
