Day 1
Travel to Cairns
Cairns Aquarium guided visit
Discover the natural wonders of the Great Barrier Reef, Wet Tropics, Gulf Savannah and Cape York as you explore the world’s only aquarium dedicated exclusively to the habitats and species of tropical North Queensland.
Day 2
Daintree Rainforest experience & Orchard Ice Cream tasting
Travel along the Coral Sea to the Daintree Rainforest for a full-day immersive experience. Cruise the river, explore Mossman Gorge, and connect with the world’s oldest rainforest. Visit a tropical orchard for a guided tasting of house-made ice cream made with fruit grown on-site.
Crocodile Park guided visit
Set off on an adventure led by an experienced wildlife keeper. Witness large crocodiles being fed, meet koalas and get up close to feed wallabies, kangaroos and quolls. See an array of lizard and snake species, and marvel at the Komodo dragon in the Gallery of Living Art.
Day 3
Fitzroy Island excursion
Board a catamaran for a full-day excursion to Fitzroy Island, where the rainforest meets the reef. Guided by marine biologists and Indigenous Culture Coordinators, explore by glass-bottom boat, take a guided snorkelling tour and join an Indigenous cultural walk. Learn about turtle rehabilitation and the work being done to care for sick and injured turtles of the Great Barrier Reef.
Day 4
Great Barrier Reef excursion
No trip to Cairns is complete without a visit to the outer reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s top natural wonders. Travel from Cairns to Moore Reef, where the underwater world awaits. Upon arrival, take part in a guided snorkel safari and join the "Eye on the Reef" program with a marine biologist to help monitor reef health. Experience the vibrant marine life and colour below the surface on a semi-submersible coral viewing tour.
Cairns Night Markets
Each evening, Cairns Night Markets comes alive. Browse more than 70 shops, savour a world of street food, and hunt for bargains. Don’t miss local Tropical North Queensland favourites like fresh sugarcane juice and a mango dessert from the Mango Bar.
Day 5
Depart for home

Add 1 Day in Cairns
Spend another day in Cairns exploring the rainforest and culture of Kuranda. Travel aboard the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway, visit Rainforestation Nature Park, and discover Indigenous culture and traditions through the Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience. Enjoy a BBQ lunch before taking in views of the tropical rainforest from the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.
